7th Edition - Initial Thoughts

I picked up the new rulebook, psychic cards, and tactical objectives from the FLGS when they went on sale today at 1pm (midnight in Nottingham). Here's my initial thoughts after a first pass through the rules.

End of an Era

Again we find ourselves at the dawn of a new edition although I don't think anybody expected it to come this quickly.

Unpacking & Unboxing

Whew, what a month! No more trips to the apartment after work anymore, we're officially all moved in. Now I can just focus on getting the house set up (and keeping up with yard work, and putting in a garden, and...) but seriously, after being cramped in a tiny apartment for the past few years I don't mind having to do that kind of work at all. As things settle in I'll have more time to get back into my unfinished projects and start a couple new ones, like this Imperial Knight:

Site Update

I finally got around to addressing some site template issues -- namely the image resizing bug where all new posts with pictures would only display in original sizes which only added to the lack of mobile friendly browsing. Rather than figure out what had suddenly plagued my previous template, I decided it was time to change things up and go with something new.

Packing Up

It's moving time again, but this will hopefully be the last time for a very long time. We're less than 2 weeks away from closing on our first house! This is a very exciting but busy time. I'm at the point where I need to pack away my armies and hobby gear for the foreseeable future and put all my projects on hold. Before I do, I figured I would take a quick shot of each so I know exactly where to pick up after the new man-cave is set up. Here's what I've been working on.
