Off to a late start... Today, I take a look back at 2018 and then set some goals for 2019.

2018 Recap

As far as my hobby activity goes 2018 was a pretty good year. Here's the group shot of everything I worked on, unless I'm forgetting something...

... which I did. This model I was working on as a xmas gift for my wife; it's her D&D character, Merrina, decked out like Mrs. Clause.

Not quite finished with this one but it'll get its own post when I do.

Some Shadespire, another Blood Bowl team, a couple big kits:

Added a little more to the Knight's base since the last update.

But the year was heavily dominated by Kill Team. I finally finished assembling all the beautiful terrain from the starter set and have managed to keep up with all of the smaller terrain pieces that come with each team set (minus one more Eldritch ruin). My oldest is absolutely smitten by Kill Team too and we've been playing games as often as we can. The holidays brought us the Rogue Trader expansion, which we're just getting into.

Here's Gabe's newest team:

Which brings our official kill team count to 7!

Gabe loves playing and organizing all the tokens for each team

I'm looking forward to painting up all this terrain and bringing our game table to life.

While I'm playing catch up here, I also wanted to mention that the blog hit another annual milestone about a week before christmas -- 8 years. Wow. It's hard to believe I started this thing before I had any of these bundles of joy :)

2019 Goals

For this year, I want to work on improving my painting with a focus on set pieces or one off dioramas. I have a couple projects already lined up and it should be fun. I also really want to work on building up the local hobby/wargaming community in my area. That's it for now, I'll leave you with a picture of the Super Space Wolf Blood Angels Moon, or whatever they were calling it, haha.

Cheers!
